
Pretty much everybody agrees that the American education system is in dire straits. Now a coalition of advertising industry bigwigs is developing a series of campaigns that aim to help. Their goal: to promote creativity in education.
Is this really what our schools need right now? As a creative person who largely felt ignored by her public schools, I don't think it can hurt. But the problems our schools, and our society at large, face are much, much bigger.
