I've noticed a shift toward telling stories through video more often. I like this trend because it allows me to learn a new skill, but as someone most familiar with words, there's a lot to learn.
This article includes a couple of useful tips for capturing better video. The one that jumps out at me the most is to not rely on your camera's built-in microphone, especially since our preferred tool, the Flip, doesn't accommodate external mics.
If we're going to get more serious about video in the future (and I'm pretty sure we are), it'd be a good idea to invest in more complex cameras and some training.
